When an Angel Needs Angels
We first met Corinth many years ago when she founded A Little Life Unlived, a nonprofit created to walk alongside families grieving the heartbreaking loss of a baby through stillbirth. For years, Corinth poured her heart into supporting young mothers and families during some of the darkest moments of their lives, offering compassion, grief support, and hope when they needed it most.
Over the years, we built a beautiful relationship with Corinth. We never imagined that one day, she would be the one who needed others to come alongside her.
In December 2024, Corinth received devastating news. Doctors discovered a mass in her chest, and she was diagnosed with metastatic papillary thyroid carcinoma and Graves’ disease. The cancer had already spread to her lungs, and Graves’ disease led to thyroid eye disease, putting her eyesight at risk.
In March 2025, Corinth underwent surgery to remove her thyroid and many surrounding lymph nodes. The surgery resulted in complications that made eating and swallowing difficult, adding yet another challenge to an already overwhelming journey.
When our Angel team visited Corinth in her home, we listened to what she and her family were facing and began putting together a plan to help. Because Corinth was unable to work as she once had, her husband was working longer hours to make up for the loss of income. The financial strain was growing, a hi nd there were practical needs around their home that simply became too much.
The Angel Foundation FL was able to step in and provide financial assistance with electric and water bills and car insurance, helping relieve some of the pressure on their family. Gift cards were given to help with food, gas and other essential needs.
But during our visit, Corinth shared something else with us. She told us she would love to have a peaceful place in her backyard where she could pray, read her Bible, and spend quiet time with God. Her faith was sustaining her through this incredibly difficult season, and she longed for a place where she could simply be still.
Our Angels from Radiant Church went to work.
They mowed the lawn, trimmed trees, and cleaned up both the front and backyard to make the space more peaceful and inviting. We purchased a hammock where Corinth could rest and pray, along with beautiful butterfly metal art to place throughout the yard to brighten the space and lift her spirits.
Corinth happened to be away receiving treatment when the work was completed, so our Angels did something extra special. They created a video for her filled with words of love, prayer, and encouragement—a reminder that even in the darkest moments, she was not walking this journey alone.
This is what our Angels do. We provide HELP with the practical things that can become overwhelming when a family is facing a life-threatening illness—yard work, household needs, transportation challenges, meals, and so much more.
We provide financial HELP when illness has reduced a family’s income and suddenly there is more month than money. Keeping the lights on, the water running, the car insured, and a family financially afloat can lift an enormous burden.
And perhaps most importantly, we provide HOPE.
We come alongside families to pray with them, encourage them, listen to them, and remind them that there are people in their community who care deeply about what they are going through.
For so many years, Corinth was that person for others. She walked beside grieving mothers and families and offered them comfort and hope when their hearts were broken.
Now it is our privilege to be the Angels walking beside her.
We will continue to pray for Corinth, encourage her, and support her as she battles cancer. We are believing with her for healing and for the day when she can say the words we are all praying to hear:
“I am cancer-free.”
Until then, Corinth and her family will continue to be surrounded by Angel hearts—lifting them up, helping carry the burden, and reminding them to never lose hope.
